Before your home search begins, as your buyer agent, I will need to know as much as possible about the features and amenities you want in a home, a neighborhood and the kind of lifestyle you want to have.   This will make your home search efficient and productive.   

Based on your budget and your “must haves” in a home, the following factors will influence the choices in neighborhood and home.

  • Neighborhood:  Identifying what neighborhoods best suit the kind of lifestyle you have in mind and afford the kind of home you want  – within your budget.  
  • Schools both private and state
  • Age:  Do you prefer older properties, or newer ones?
  • Style: Do you have a special preference for ranch style homes, townhomes, condos, two story?
  • How important are updates to you especially kitchen and bathrooms?
  • Bedrooms: How many?
  • Bathrooms: How many? Are they updated?
  • Living and Dining Areas: A traditional, formal layout, or a more open, contemporary plan?
  • Square feet: How much space?
  • Ceilings: How high?
  • Kitchen: How big? Recently updated? Open to other living areas?
  • Storage: Big closets, a shed, an extra-large garage?
  • Parking: A garage or carport? Room for how many cars?
  • Commute tolerance
  • Important neighborhood features such as parks, pools, tennis courts
  • Yard size
  • Layout –   open plans or more defined rooms
  • Schooling
