Bellaire has changed considerably over the years. Many post-war cottages have and continue to be replaced by large million dollar homes that are set back on leafy, tree lined streets. But many small cottages still exist, some in better repair than others. Bellaire is not a master planned community, so there are many different styles of homes lending to its characterful feel. It is not uncommon to build your own home on your own lot.
Bellaire can boast beautiful parks, an aquatic center and a small town center. All major grocery stores are close by.
Residents inside the 610 loop can attend Horn Elementary. Residents outside the loop have Conditt or Lovett depending on location.
Pin Oak Middle School is an alternative to Pershing.
Bellaire residents zone into Bellaire High School.
Some of Houston's finest private schools are close by including Episcopal High School, St Agnes, and Stake Jesuit.
